What's the "Liftow" text on the side? |

Are we sure that they are the same machine?? Liftow makes forklifts and the picture on the right certainly has that name on it. However, the one on the left is clearly a Caterpillar - it has CAT and the logo on it. May be an extreme example of product placement -- Last edit: 2006-02-22 23:57:50 |

Yes, they are the same. Not only supposed to be: in the scene the vehicle turns a few time; one side shows Cat and the other side shows Liftow. I also found that strange since Liftow seems to be another make than Caterpillar ![]() |

I may have solved it. There is a Liftow Company that sells and services many different kind of forklifts. It was probably a Caterpillar that was sold by the Liftow company. I would bet that the little writing under liftow is their name and location/phone number. Here is an example: http://www.liftowinc.com/forklift-284.html I don't know about Europe but it is common in the US for the seller to place their name on equipment they sell. You can hardly find an american car that does not have the sellers name on the back somewhere - usually a stick on decal. Bottom line is that its a Caterpillar forklift. -- Last edit: 2006-02-23 00:14:24 |

My brother used to sell these fork-lift trucks. He says it's an ANTIQUE Caterpillar M25 or M30 (2.5 0r 3.0 ton capacity), electric, circa 1980.... It still has the old CAT logo |
