I don't remember the "Hilux" madel name being used in the U.S. |

It was not, indeed. Just "Truck" I guess then. -- Last edit: 2007-09-02 22:22:08 |

This one isn't the same. It lacks the "power package" which consists of Power windows, locks, mirrors and red warning lights in the door armrests (note the different shape of the side mirrors, manual ones are also available with chrome plating but they are more rounded like the black ones on the truck in the thumbnails), factory dark tinted back windows (part of the Sport package which included a center console, bucket seats with lumbar and side support adjustments and a tinted glass sunroof) and it seems to be a Deluxe model, not a SR5. About the mirrors, The power mirrors on the truck on the main picture were only available on the 1989-95 SR5 pickups marketed in North America that didn't have vent windows. On most Hilux, Hilux Surf and North American 4Runners, they had a different shape. However, some 4Runners (Hilux SW4) sold in Brasil had the same mirrors as the North American SR5 pickup power mirrors. I can't figure why they offered so many different kind of mirrors on these! -- Last edit: 2012-03-05 04:18:55 |
