Anyone any idea how many were sold in France? |

You shouldn't be too convinced, that this scene was filemd in France. The scenery looks very studio-backlot-ish, very typical with such a streed-curve in the background. ![]() This Paris seems to be faked either: /vehicle_10626-MG-B-ADO23.html |

Maybe, but the VDP looks LHD. |

The location looks real to me. If it's not Paris, it's somewhere else in France. And this is a French film, made in France by French people. ![]() |

Note is left hand Drive - quite a few found their way over the channel - I seen magazine articles from owners discussing their vehicles |

511 LHDs were made from a total of 6999 4-Litre R; no info on where sold, but F was a market for 3-Litre Mk2. Other odd info: - 43 Touring Limousines were made with glass division - VdP made one Countryman estate for Liz's Royal fleet in 1966; it was written-off in an accident, but the remains apparently still survive and may eventually be restored. It had unique vertical rear doors and split tailgate. - some estate conversions were done by Radford - number unknown. They used ordinary slanted saloon rear doors with a one-piece tailgate - one chassis was produced for a hearse - no info where/who it went to - 312 were CKD kits sent to South Africa 1965-66 |
