update dec 2018...all the Kubels which get blown up in the movie are replicas...the kubel which chases the JU52 at the end of the movie (and does not get damaged) is a genuine 1944 example and is the only Kubel survivor from the movie. Located in the Uk the vehicle was UK road registered in September 2009 as "850XUU" and is described as a "beige 1944 VW", it is currently off road,garaged in the uk, on a SORN |
