The three possibilities for the 'Origin' flag are as follows: 1. Car was manufactured in the country where the company and brand name owner originates from. Standard and simple: the country's flag is used. 2. Car was manufactured in a factory directly controlled by the company and brand name owner. xassh ◊ 2008-04-14 23:23	i have a friend that believes that this is one of the cars that he owns. i have not seen the movie, so i cannot even begin to verify whether he is correct or not. i am wondering if anyone might have some definite information. some things to look for, perhaps a VIN to check?

G-MANN ◊ 2009-06-27 14:29	Belongs to Miles (Paul Giamatti) who uses it to take his friend Jack (Thomas Haden Church) on a stag weekend in California's wine country. It is used throughout the whole film so it sees plenty of action. Drinking and driving: Crosswording and driving: Making a getaway from white-trash husband: And finally after Stephanie (Sandra Oh) has smashed Jack's face in with a bike helmet, he tries to stage an accident so he'll a cover-story for his wife-to-be. Although he doesn't bother asking Miles first. Miles: WHAT THE FUCK!! Jack: I'll pay for it! Miles: Jesus Christ, Jack! Look at this! Jack: I don't know. chicomarx ◊ 2010-08-12 20:58	The car is here now: eugenecleveland.com/sidewayssaab/ Originally silver, but painted in a faded red for the movie and scratched and dented. Quote They wanted a red convertible with a dark interior, rather than the lighter biscuit leather interior. As this was hard to find, they eventually took a silver-on-black convertible and painted it red. You can still see the silver paint in various places now, e.g. in the engine bay.
