Drived all the movie by Brendan Glesson and Megan Burns at the end.

Looks too new to be the Austin. It's an LTI Fairway

Why this thing if they could choose from ANY car in London. Of course it has a flat tire when it's zombie time.

They never showed why they picked this car, but I assumed when I watched it that Brendan Gleeson's character was a cab driver and this was his cab.

My older brother said, "why stop in the tunnel? why not continue until they were out?" I agree with him

I'm sorry, but all the car showrooms full of cars back in '02, ford, mercedes and fancy cars, I myself would personally go to the nearest ford showroom, and get a Galaxy, 1.9 TDi, but what the hell?! All the brand-new cars around them, and the get a 13 year old cab?!!!!!!!!

A taxi with the plate G487UYK is used for the jump scene, it is visible briefly.

I miss those iconic London cabs I don't like these new box looking ones, these may not be eco friendly but they stood out, I'm glad the creators of the film decided to use a cab for the getaway

In all honesty, the old London Cab feels oddly right for some reason, it has a home-y feel to it and for some reason fits the characters in a sense of once being a proper on-duty work car to now being desolated and abandoned in the city of London trying to escape this quarantined purgatory called the United Kingdom. Just my two cents on this car as a character in this film. :king:

i don't know how reliable those ones are but if i was in their situation , i'd prefer an old reliable car ( once again , i don't know if they are and even in the case they're not my argument still stands ) to a new one that might need a kick in the rear bumper every now and then..

Fair enough, but I think the cab was more or less chosen because it was Frank's cab since he was somewhat hinted to be a cab driver. And to be fair wouldn't most vehicles either be damaged or locked (e.g the 2001 Mercedes-Benz that sets off its alarm when Cillian tries opening the door to it) considering the mass exodus of brits trying to flee the cities during this time period?
