I watched it being prepared for the movie in the Disney Special EFX shop. The striping and numbers were taped on. The race sequence was filmed at Riverside Raceway. This car was one of the "villain" cars Trying to put Herbie out of the race. I bought the car in 1984 from the original owner, and restored it over a period of years. I still own it.
