Here's a wonderful video made by OHV media about the Colt L300:

Several changes were done for the Mitsubishi Colt L300 throughout 1983-1988 and our listed one is a 1988 vehicle.

Between years 1984 to 86, the 1.4L engine was replaced with the 1.6L 4G32 engine. The L300 featured a brand new gray coloured grille with both "MITSUBISHI" emblem and diamond logo present and a black line that goes through the text. A "DELUXE" badge is also present on both sides of the door.

Between years 1986 to 1988, the 2.3L 4D55 diesel engine was introduced. Visually, the L300 featured front-fascia revisions, the grille was now black and featured chrome around it. The "MITSUBISHI" text is still present while the diamond logo was erased.

Between years 1988 to 1989, the 2.3L 4D55 diesel engine was replaced by the now legendary and long-lived 2.5l 4D56 engine. While the front-fascia remains the same, diesel-engined vehicles feature a small "2.5 DIESEL" sticker under the right-side headlight. Diesel cars would have their gas caps be located to be under the deck and petrol engined vehicles would remain to be located in left-side cabin.

For 1989, the quarter window was removed. Front fascia remains the same until 2007.

For 1996, petrol-engined vehicles would be discontinued due to lacklustre sales.

Between years 2007 to 2022, several revisions were done to the L300. The 4D56 engine featured catalytic converters and an EGR system to meet Euro II emissions standards in 2007, new "SUPER QUICK TYPE" glowplugs were introduced and power-steering became standard. Most importantly, the grille was redesigned...featuring the new Mitsubishi triangular grille family, the "MITSUBISHI" text was erased and replaced with the diamond logo, plastic inserts were added under the grille, the "COLT" emblem was now a sticker and a "POWER STEERING" sticker was added on the right side.
