I can't find any evidence that these Ford Escort 100Es were called 'Escort Estate'. I think simply 'Escort' is the real name. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266241286514 https://storm.oldcarmanualproject.com/fordescort1955.htm All the ones on the site are wrong on that point of view. /vehicles.php?make=Ford&model=Escort+Estate -- Last edit: 2025-05-02 10:41:22 |

https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/XawAAOSwEzRkMspj/s-l1200.png While they may not have been referred to as Estate in 1955 brochures, they were referred to as such in subsequent brochures and it's better to have them listed as such, otherwise they'll get lost in the abyss of other Escorts. Think of it as a retrospective name, like the Mk.I Jag. |
