My father bought two of these K6 tippers registered (EED 905) in Warrington ,Lancashire in the late '40's. They had been originally supplied to the City of London for clearing up rubble after the blitz. There is a photo of K6 tipper from a documentary lettered on the driver's door...."War debris survey architects office".....This ties in with my story. My father was a subcontractor carrying hardcore, to the Leyland works, factories at Trafford Park and airfied extentions in Southport an in Suffolk....Do any of these lorries still exist I wonder.? my e mail is p.atherton2@btinternet .com and you can find me on facebook. |
