dsl ◊ 2023-06-18 01:09	We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided FORD NOT RECORDED 1953 Registration number: 572 UXR Body type: Light Van Colour: Green And Black Date of first registration: July 1953 I thought the plate looked familiar, but false lead. However 486 UXR on a real but colour-changing 1954 Minor Traveller is old friend. Car is Austin 1100 Mk2, unlike the Mk3 rarely seen as a genuine panda.

Here's an online pic of 572 UXR on the 1100 "Panda" .... and on a Minor 1000 panda ... and "The registration plate '572 UXR' is used on a black MGA in the following episode of Shakespeare and Hathaway: Private Investigators. You can clearly see it when the driver crashes it at around the 34-36 mins mark." - apparently S2.E8

dsl ◊ 2025-11-09 18:35	It's all a bit cobbled up. Definitely Austin Mk2 with wing indicators and correct 1100 Mk2 grille in the screen shots, so Oct 67 to Sept 71. But has been given an incorrect Mk3 1300 replacement grille in the stock pictures; Mk3s did not have side indicators. Nothing matches a Mk2 1300
