CougarTim ◊ 2023-04-05 01:35	By the lower bumper, 1982 Pontiac J2000 or 1983 Pontiac 2000 (Buick had a similar texture but with fewer vertical pieces). By the 'OHC/FI' badge on the front fender, late 1982 or 1983; the 1982 standard engine was carbureted, the fuel injected engine joined the options list midyear and became standard for 1983. It's possible the fuel injected 1982s didn't get a badge which would make this 1983-only, but there are so few surviving that it's hard to build a good sample size. -- Last edit: 2023-04-05 01:44:00
CougarTim ◊ 2023-04-09 00:59	I still cannot find any examples of 1982 J2000 with the 'OHC/FI' badge. The magazine advertisements for when this engine was added in 1982 show a different, smaller, rectangular badge, but I have not found any real examples displaying it; the rectangular badge also appears in the 1983 brochure, but 1983 cars as built have the larger text badge. I think this is probably a 1983.
