Having the first version of the rear lights means it is not later than MY 1989. 740's up to MY 1988 had 14" wheels with shiny s/s hubcaps while MY 1989 had 15" wheels with grey plastic hubcaps. Because of tax reasons all versions apart from the entry one had alloys from MY 1989. That points in the direction I believe this is a GL. This should be a 1989 (only) Volvo 740 GL. (Also the number plate beginning with O argues it's a MY 1989) I took my driving licence in a car similar to this one.
