Thumb is from Ep. 3. All I can see from here is that it's pre 1971 with the roof indicators. Thumb car looks newer. -- Last edit: 2022-04-27 23:04:44 |

Agree. Main looks like suffix plate so mid-60s?? Blue Cortina Mk1 behind means mid-late 60s footage likely. The truck behind might attract interest as well?? |

If I can get a better shot of it. |

FX4 is 1963-1968 certainly by the Austin script on the grille and roof mounted indicators. Its not clear but I believe the bonnet is possibly without the mascot & chrome centre strip. If so it would narrow it down to 1967-8. |

... the truck does look interesting, with BMC connections. The grille looks to be a BMC FE/FF/FH grille but upside-down, the windscreen is also turned through 180 degrees. Austin or Morris FF based as here, possibly with special crew cab. https://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/p825416948/h137f5ec9#h137f5ec9 edit: After some searching I was forced back to the Morris in the above link which carries the 'RSA' (Royal Society of Arts) logo. The RSA is only about a mile from Buck house and has the same grey cab with darker body with side shuttered doors, conclusion it is likely to be a truck from the same RSA fleet (although the height might not be identical). ARonLine has reference to a crew cab built by a Scottish company Halmo Engineering but no images to connect it. -- Last edit: 2022-04-28 21:25:04 |
