Looks like an S-type, and possibly a Park Ward 2 door fixed head coupé, but better view would help. It might even be a Continental, but single colour paint is unusual. Design 701? -- Last edit: 2022-01-15 15:12:51 |

Early Park Ward (S1) with small rear side window in my picture book looks very similar - apparently the window was much bigger on later ones. James Young did something similar as well, but only shown in my book with the larger window and a different door handle with longer forward continuation chrome strip. So a likely match, but not brave enough to be definite. |

It appears to have the small fins of a Park Ward Design No 701, and the integrated rear light of Issue 2 of that body, through the camera shake. So, Bentley S1 Continental Fixed Head Coupé to Park Ward Design #701 (Issue 2?) 1955 to 1957. The larger rear quarter lights and wraparound rear window were introduced in 1958, when the design no. was changed to 872. Deliveries completed in July 1959. -- Last edit: 2022-01-16 00:19:24 |

Back to 1955 then. Our other S1 Continental S1 FHCs (admittedly not PWs) are 56, and I assumed issue 1 would come first for a short time, followed by issue 2 .... |
