VV 1987 was Northants, mid(?) 1933. Version looks something like EA (Sports 1929-32) or EB (65 Sports 1933). Nippy (AEB) was steel-bodied version of 65, released Jan 34; same date for EK Sports and AEK Speedy (round-topped split screen). So 1933 65 Sports [EB] matches the dates if they're precise, but I'm not brave enough to say exact match for car as seen. |

I think it’s a special. It looks too crude to be a factory build. |

It’s the back behind the seats, and the headlamp mountings, mostly. /vehicle_31128-Austin-Seven-Special.html -- Last edit: 2022-01-13 00:11:57 |

There are two in this film; the one Hattie Jacques is driving has red wings and I think both cars are visible in the same shot when she drives past behind the eloping couple and gets pulled up by the police. Also hers has lower, smaller headlamps that might actually have black paint on them. -- Last edit: 2022-02-09 12:38:37 |
