Coachbuild Forum is saying one thing, Bob's Studebaker Resource Website says another one. I guess, for now, this should be called like another one which we already have (or had). Whatever the case, 2 of these rare coachbuilt cars were destroyed for movies. Not nice at all. |

Yes, it does seem to say that. The same script is visible on this derelict example (from Bob's Studebaker website):![[Image: 1960studebaker200302.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/26849/1960studebaker200302.jpg) Not sure exactly what VIII means on this particular example. Perhaps just 8 cylinders. I think the 1968 plate is not genuine for this car. As I understand, these were built mainly for the display in 1960 (maybe some were built in 1961 too), though I had no luck finding the exact number of cars they made. Also, some sources refer to these as "Studebaker Italia". Maybe they should be re-named like that ? -- Last edit: 2021-01-08 11:55:10 |

Wow. I'm a Studebaker guy and have been a member of the Studebaker Driver's Club since 1974 and have never heard of such a car. (You learn something new every day!) |
