KJY 732 = Plymouth, April-July 1955. Paint job might mean ex-circus?? (which probably means it's really knackered if a circus binned it)

Last Thumb rear wheels are quite distinctive ,
it may be a Guy as they were popular in this work.

Front (and rear) wheels look like Bedford S to me, so perhaps it could be a rather more common Bedford SB?

Yes looking at front wheel in thumb 1 it does look Bedford.
Wonder if its a Marsden body?

I keep thinking of Slumberland.

I am still sticking with Bedford, however the body is likely I think to be from a small Devon or Cornwall coach-builder rather than Marsden Coach-builders.

Similar to these bodies which appear to be built on Austin/Morris/BMC chassis, but body manufacturer unknown...

Bedford chassis options, SB or my preference, S-type truck with lengthened chassis or possibly A type [A4LZ] which was produced as a forward control bus chassis 26/29 seats.

I wasn’t suggesting it was a Guy, just that the colours struck a note.

I agree about the colours, however I never thought you were proposing a Guy chassis jfs, only that my thumbnail pic showed non-Bedford examples.

Fair enough.

I think that you are more likely right than not.

I think we have gone as far as we can with this.

Bedford very likely which leads to S-type and without the normal SB scuttle and grille plus a wheelbase unlikely to be long enough. The coachbuilder is unknown.
