KJY 732 = Plymouth, April-July 1955. Paint job might mean ex-circus?? (which probably means it's really knackered if a circus binned it) |

Last Thumb rear wheels are quite distinctive , it may be a Guy as they were popular in this work. -- Last edit: 2020-06-26 13:43:03 |

Front (and rear) wheels look like Bedford S to me, so perhaps it could be a rather more common Bedford SB? https://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/p885293724/h3921cdb9#h293429be |

Yes looking at front wheel in thumb 1 it does look Bedford. Wonder if its a Marsden body? |

I keep thinking of Slumberland. |

No, got it wrong, Silentnight colours. https://myntransportblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/1953-guy-otter-pantechnicon-jda808.jpg -- Last edit: 2020-06-29 19:12:52 |

I am still sticking with Bedford, however the body is likely I think to be from a small Devon or Cornwall coach-builder rather than Marsden Coach-builders. Similar to these bodies which appear to be built on Austin/Morris/BMC chassis, but body manufacturer unknown... ![]() Bedford chassis options, SB or my preference, S-type truck with lengthened chassis or possibly A type [A4LZ] which was produced as a forward control bus chassis 26/29 seats. -- Last edit: 2020-06-29 21:42:09 |

I wasn’t suggesting it was a Guy, just that the colours struck a note. |

I agree about the colours, however I never thought you were proposing a Guy chassis jfs, only that my thumbnail pic showed non-Bedford examples. |

Fair enough. I think that you are more likely right than not. |

I think we have gone as far as we can with this. Bedford very likely which leads to S-type and without the normal SB scuttle and grille plus a wheelbase unlikely to be long enough. The coachbuilder is unknown. |
