This page is incorrect. The Jeep in this scene is a CJ5 not a CJ7. The most obvious difference is the shape of the door openings. Doors on a CJ5 have a “hump” in the shape at the rear lower corner. With the CJ7, Jeep lengthened the wheelbase, allowing the doors to be roughly rectangular. This Jeep is what Jeep nuts refer to as an “intermediate” CJ5 produced during the AMC years. I cannot find any specific info on the year of this example, but intermediates were made between 1971 and 1975. |

joedahero is correct. This is a CJ5 from 1972-74. 1972 as evidenced by the longer nose and pre'75 as it has the high JEEP logo. 1975 the logo was relocated a few inched lower. |
