My Bumper Book of Grifos says that it was never officially called Targa, but simply Grifo S. There were 13 Series 1 (including the orange 1966 prototype, chassis 097) with production eventually starting in September 1969 (chassis 264, red with black interior) into 1970, then 4 Series 2 1970-71. So this should be a Series 1 - the show date and colour match means it could be chassis 264 with the paint still wet, but not confirmed. |

 When I was a kid these were my favourite cars (apart from Rootes-jewels of course) alongside the Maserati Ghibli because they looked so achingly beautiful. Miuras, Monteverdis and Daytona Spiders were also on my gorgeous list, but somehow just not quite as perfect as Grifos and Ghiblis. |

I approve so much such feelings about these car… and I remember the Politoys and Matchbox models of that time  Personnally, I would add the Monteverdi in a trio with the Ghibli and Grifo |
