Because this generation of F-series (US 87-92) only launched in Brazil in ending of 1992 as model 1993 with some differences, like a interior that only came out in Brazilian version and 4 cylinder MWM Diesel engine. Before this generation was a Brazilian version of 67-72 F-series up to 1992. The F-4000 was launched in 1975 in Brazil and after 1979 the Brazilian Ford trucks (and 1985 Chevrolet heavy trucks) used a cargo capacity in kilograms to describe a model.In 1979 Ford improves the F-100 with cargo capacity to 1 ton to launch a diesel version (because the Brazilian legislation did not allow a vehicle with less than a one cargo ton receives diesel engines) and launch F-1000. Same thing occurred to medium/heavy trucks F-600/F-700 who came to be called F-11000/F-13000/F-19000/F-21000.
