zodiac ◊ 2019-01-11 11:26	Also the outside rear view mirrors and the 'VOLVO' badge on the front wing says it is of MY 1980. The car is thus a 1980 Volvo 244 GLE. From the early 70's until 1978 Volvo used GL (Grand Luxe) for their upmarket models, usually fitted with fuel injection instead of one or two carburettors. The entry level models were named nothing at first, then L (Luxe) and later DL (De Luxe), and even later GL. In 1979 they decided to do one of the inflations, and named the entry models DL and the next level GL, while the ones fitted with fuel injection were named GLE (Grand Luxe Electric fuel injection).
