Thiele Karosserie- und Fahrzeugfabrik of Bremen & Bremerhaven did exactly that, but they wouldn't have needed a vinyl roof to cover surface irregularities on the roof... As this was filmed in South Africa, I'm almost sure it was one of the local coachbuilders who made this conversion. |
