Looks like an L with Sept 83 colour-coded front and early colour. A62 GLD is blank but A65 was a Golf registered in August 83. However there may be some witchcraft, as A64 is also used in this series and is another blank. |

Only the base Sierra (sometimes described as Sierra Saloon) had a non-colour coded front. L upwards was always colour coded. |
