I think we've always assumed HK got UK stuff from UK until some Aus-sourced Leyland things at start of 1970s. Would UK regimes have let Aus supply export markets so soon after WW2, given the UK's desperation to earn foreign currency?? |

You are probably right, but the loss of revenue may not have been quite as big as items could have been supplied to Australia from Dagenham. |
