 sure about 1983?About the movie date AND the Santana? Despite the fact, that Shanghai-Volkswagen was founded in 1985 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAIC_Volkswagen the car here has the 1985+ rubber-trims on the doors. |

There was a low scale Santana production from 1983, with the car having a slightly different grille pattern. I am not sure why the JV was set up only after 2 years... |
