Fake plate. |

https://checkhistory.uk/vehicle/T343SKG is a 1999 silver Vectra Estate, alive in September 2016. What makes it fake? |

Weird. Instantcarcheck gave me an error screen normally seen with fake plates. First time this happened to me where it was a real plate. ![]() |

Interesting. Instantcarcheck returned a 1999 silver Vectra Estate 1.8i 16V when I tried it. I have on occasion received there a page with no car data (meaning the table with data wasn't even present as it usually is with N/A everywhere when the plate is fake or with no data), but if I tried again, it worked. |

Yep that is the exact page I was getting. Thanks for pulling the data ![]() I can only get the VIN on my cellphone but I only do 3 checks or less at a time so I do not DDoS the source. |

Trim TOURER 16V Colour Silver Body ESTATE Was there a "Tourer" trim or special edition?? |
◊ 2024-07-02 01:58 |
[rac.co.uk] 'A bargain Tourer version of the 1.8 LS estate was introduced in autumn 2001 to buoy up sales'. So, the info base isn't 100% trustworthy. |

I cannot get the VIN so just speculation at this point. |

They did the Tourer edition more than once. But not sure this one adds up as I think the original Vectra Tourer was the Estate version of the Arctic and wouldn't be on a facelift car. There's also a trim badge on the side, which I don't think you'd get on the special edition ones. |

Agree from Glass's refs that Tourer was effectively the Arctic in estate form. I can find 2 refs, each matching Arctic and Arctic II dates, available on same trim versions and with the same choice of 2 colours - Ceramic Blue/Star Silver metallic, followed by Premium Blue/Star Silver metallic. Same air con, alloys, and fogs on the second batch. Both were pre-facelift. No mention of bodykit such as the sills here. There was a third Tourer batch in Oct 01 on the 1.8 16v estate with 16" 7-spoke alloys and ultra low profile tyres, body colour rear spoiler, air con and other cabin bits. |
