For the record, FK 9509 was Jan 93 issue. No idea what the HK system would do if you took an old Beetle and put a new body on it in terms of requiring a new registration or not. But this is all hypothetical, because (a) Chesil might have sold "new" fully-built replicas and (b) whichever permutation of fully-built or home-converted applies here, HK re-registers cars whenever they're sold or re-sold. So the only thing we can deduce is that its current owner bought it in Jan 93. |
