But something smells funny - the footage was taken during probably 2 or 3 drive-bys and then spliced together, it all looks very clean with no other vehicle apparently involved, and if it had been genuine, I doubt if they would have screened it. So my guess is something staged - either a total fake for dramatic effect, or maybe a practice for the local emergency services.If anyone wants to dig deper into the sequence, there's a few nice shiny emergency vehicles which could be drawn out, although mostly blink-and-miss-it moments. -- Last edit: 2017-12-24 08:22:34 (opal) |

According to VehicleHistory, this is 1G2ZG57B694132746 in 2016 in Scranton, Pennsylvania: https://img.vinchain.io/2016/02/19/70/71cc36534190ad20_d1ecc61dc43b66.jpg - Wrecked, but mostly intact (the roof is clearly attached). So either it was repaired and then promptly wrecked AGAIN but worse; or it was wrecked, auctioned, and used for some kind of training exercise where it was mutilated further. The fire truck places this in Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania (same county as Scranton), and the fastest route from New York City to Niagara Falls does pass through this area, so it doesn't feel like stock footage, though. |
