They were originally made for the US Virgin Island with distinct special features, but the deal fell through and they were sold locally in Australia. The Californian name was re-introduced in 1977 when the marketing department needed to sell the cosmetic make over of the Moke that year. The correct design number is YDO30, not YDO018.
