Suburban - Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" Transit - Link to "www.bing.com" The difference is the lack of standee windows and that Suburban models only have a single service door... |

1968 GMC S8M5303A, The Short Line (Providence, RI) apparently on a Boston to Newport run. The main difference between a Transit and a Suburban is underfloor luggage compartments. Many Transits had a single door and no standee windows. |

Having a single door and no standee windows does not necessarily mean it's a Suburban. Many Transits had a single door and no standee windows (for example: http://gallery.bustalk.info/displayimage.php?pos=-18046). A Transit would not have luggage doors. This is a 1968 and only a 1968, since Short Line didn't buy any New Looks after 1968. -- Last edit: 2017-10-01 04:43:01 |
