1941-47 'Art Deco' truck. If genuine (on a 74-year old vehicle...), the painted grille means a 1942 model. No detail here to identify the ton-rating, it could be a light-duty vehicle (½- and ¾-ton, for pre-war era) as well as a heavy-duty one (1- & 1½-ton). |

Probably the same truck: /vehicle_1180329-Chevrolet.html /vehicle_1071379-Studebaker-Lark-Wagonaire-1963.html (upper left) /vehicle_1071369-Chevrolet-Bel-Air-1960.html (foreground) |

The two cabs look a lot the same indeed: same hole in the windshield, same missing right part. The wheel rims indicate then a 1½-ton model, sold as Heavy Duty (written with an hyphen in IMCDb). I'm less sure for the 2 other trucks, as the windshield is not visible. -- Last edit: 2018-11-14 03:48:33 |
