1968 'G' or I think 1965 'C' for Atkinson Silver Knight before 1967 (flush wheel arches on cab)?

I would be very surprised if any combination had reached Sxx by 1965 C-plate. Sxx with G (Aug 1968 to July 69) was very common. When did Silver Knight finish??

Staffordshire had run completely through all the RE and RF by then, and had started on the BF plates. Our neighbour had a Vitesse convertible VRE 227C and our Austin 1800 was EBF 309C.

Atkinson Silver Knight is good for both 'C' and 'G' registrations, however from 240 gardner's previous comments a wider front axle was used from 1967 requiring increased wheel arch width (also shown on CM Archive articles).

Without 240 gardner's direct input (should he view this entry in the future), this probably looks to be a pre-1967 Silver Knight.

This is a Mk.2-cabbed Silver Knight (and thank you, 'Sunbar', for your kind compliment :o) )

The Mk2 cab went into production in late 1968, and the Knight range was replaced in the Autumn of 1970, so this vehicle is clearly identifiable as 1969/70.

I'd suggest that some filming prop manager is trying to weasel this through as a 1965 lorry by changing the plate!!

It's just a passing lorry so probably is a G reg.
