Trivia: unlike a chevelle coup/conv. the ElCamino used the same body from 68-72.......also 70-72 ElCaminos used unique front fenders. Chevelle coup front fenders will not line up with the ElCamino body lines. -- Last edit: 2013-05-27 19:22:16 |

That's because you can't use normal Chevelle parts on an El Camino. You have to use parts from a Chevelle station wagon on an El Camino. An El Camino is made from a station wagon, not a normal 2 door Chevelle. That's why El Caminos have that panel you can remove in the front of the bed by the cab. That's where the second row of seating is supposed to go in a Chevelle station wagon. |
