Profile for user kooshmeister - Country: USA (United States of America)

I was encouraged to make a profile, or rather add to the existing one. I like cars. Well, that's obvious. As a boy, I loved Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars and pretty much any other similarly-scaled toy vehicles I could get my hands on. It's probably no coincidence, then, that one of the earliest films I recall seeing as a child is Sheena. Now most would watch it for the gorgeous African scenery, or even the gorgeous Tanya Roberts. Me? I watched it for the army trucks. Specifically those belonging to Prince Otwani's soldiers. This film along with The Gods Must Be Crazy cemented in my very young mind that Land Rovers (and their close cousins the Range Rovers) were cool.

Ever since, spotting a Land Rover or Range Rover in a film or even in real life has become a real treat for me. I would watch The Jewel of the Nile and the first few minutes of The Living Daylights for this reason alone.

From there I began to notice that most movies I liked were action flicks with car chases in them. Cars crashing, chasing each other, being blown up, etc. Early in life it was predominantly military vehicles. I'd watch Kelly's Heroes for the "Tiger tanks" and the Kubelwagons, for instance. Lately, though, I've begun developing a deep love for Mercedes-Benz and other European cars, and I love Maitland's Mercedes in Beverly Hills Cop and personally rank it Most Gorgeous Car Owned by a Movie Villain, Ever.

I specialize in what I like to call "placeholder" screenshots. That is to say, temporary screenshots from films to assist in identifying cars until more suitable ones can be found. This is why a good deal many of my submissions are of lesser quality; I use what is available to me.
