This is fun isn't it ? I started with a 1959 mini my mum bought for me for £25 when I was still 16, that's another story. I now have a Mercedes E Class and I have driven everything I possibly could given the chance, it helped as I have known an array of part time car dealers through the years. I've driven Old Jags, a Saint type Volvo to a Humber Super Snipe with the petrol cap disguised as a rear reflector. I did have a mint Triumph Spitfire for some years thought of as a classic at the time. I came on this site after I saw FAK707 on Foyles War and tried to identify what it was, An Alvis Shooting Brake I now know. I remembered a dodgy brother of my dad's turning up in something similar when I was about seven. My dad couldn't remember it years later, but the look and the smell of the leather interior has never left me. I'm now 57.
