Is this maybe a pilot for re-starting the SG1 TV Series? I know I heard a lot of fans were disappointed about it's discontinuing. I was wondering if they were bringing it back? |

No, it is the opposite of a pilot: they made a TV-movie to end the cliffhanger at the end of 10th season of the series (Ark of Truth - no car in that one  ). Later they made this movie which has approximately the duration of two episodes and a story on its own like most of the episodes had. And they may make again another one in the next months.
