Set in 1918 in Texas (US) and in 1928 in Elko, Nevada (US)

Filmed in Yugoslavia (according to some sources somewhere in Kranjska Gora in Slovenia).

Also, nearly every vehicle featured in this movie is now residing in Technical Museum of Slovenia in Borovnica.

Not to be confused with Marty's The Aviator (2003), which is not related to this movie in any way.
