 USA production filmed mostly on location in Japan with a small intro filmed in Los Angeles.
One of John Frankenheimer's lesser-known films. Nothing special but Scott Glenn and Toshiro Mifune give a good performance.

 The unknown USDM car looks to me an Opel Admiral B, but I cannot be sure, of course.
