"Ray Milland plays an aging, grumpy, physically disabled millionaire who invites his family to his island estate for his birthday celebration. Sam Elliot plays a free-lance photographer who is doing a pollution layout for an ecology magazine. Jason Crokett (Milland) hates nature, poisoning anything that crawls on his property. On the night of his birthday the frogs and other members of nature begin to pay Milland back. "

I once had a collection of over 8000 original videos/films, which I started collecting around 1980 (many I sold during the 90's) the majority of them horror/sci-fi/action/thrillers.
Since selling them i've been trying hard to get everything again, but now on DVD (many have not been re-released).
'Frogs' was one I had originally on Guild home video (released in the UK in the early 80's)

Where do you actually buy them from? Internet (amazon, ebay etc)? I used to think you'd get them from video shops (not big ones like Blockbusters) or markets or corner shops, or you already had them on video. When Sky TV had the Moviemax film channels they used to show more low-budget films (although these were all recent), but today it's mostly recent mainstream films or repeats of well known films.

I've always wanted to see this film! I have a book entitled 'The World's Worst Movies' in which this film features along with 'Devil Girl from Mars' and 'Godzilla the Smog Monster'. Somehow none of these made it to a multiplex near me.

stronghold, if you had 8000 films, could you possibly upload Son of the Blob?

This was collecting way before E-bay (and any reasonably priced home Pc's.!) I was buying and well known around the south london area by all the local video shops (No blockbusters then! and most of the videos were pre-cert) and all the bootsales, jumble sales & markets of the time (I was a biker then and used to spend the majority of my spare time and wages travelling about collecting movies.!)..no satellite TV till the mid/late-80's?

I had.! :) ...haven't got them all anymore (as said above I started selling them off in the mid-90's, due to money shortage, marriage etc...) I was selling them to a dealer I knew (he used to sell at specialist film fairs) who gave me a reasonable price.! I was selling him approx.100 films per month, as I was re-watching some before they went.! I didn't have a dvd (or any way to copy video's at this time, there were some kind of dvd recorders just starting to appear, but the prices were way beyond my pocket.! I did manage to scan/print alot of video sleeves from my collection, maybe a couple of thousand?) I've only had a dvd recorder for about 3 years. (I've still got about 1000 video tapes including home recordings and have probably got over 3000 films/dvd's.!)
I did have The Blob (original Steve McQueen)on mountain video (pre-cert), Beware! the Blob (aka- 'son of the Blob' larry hagman 1972) on braveworld video
also had the Blob (remake with kevin dillon 1988) on rca-columbia/braveworld video
Don't believe I've got any of these now? (so many still unsorted) :/ (among many others, i'm still kicking myself for having had to sell them.!)
