hi, can anyone tell me the make and model of the car which is driven and crashed by rex harrison at the end of the film please. there is a picture of the car on this page along with 6 others and it is the seventh image. It has wrongly been identified as a triumph dolomite although the film does feature that model the car used in the last minute isnt a triumph dolomite. |

I'll check tonight. EDIT: You were correct, it's a different car. /vehicle_392759.html (Difficult to capture properly) -- Last edit: 2011-04-21 17:30:26 |

hi to all those that have looked and tried to help. I dont think it is another triumph dolomite from a different year. I watched the film very recently and at first glance i thought it was a delahaye. I was drawn to the fabulous swept rear arches, the slope on the boot, just the terrific lines really. such elegance from a by gone era, i also love the dickie seat. I couldnt really get a good look at it from the film and so poked about on the net until i found this great site here. hopefully someone will come forward with the answer, cheers simon, (simo22) ____ David Lean's adaptation of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit is now time-tagged. Rex Harrison, Constance Cummings, Kay Hammond wouldn't raise a smile on my face; fortunately, in it too there was Margaret Rutherford, here at her stupendous best.
