One-off TV spy thriller by Spooks production team, but set in 70s cold war plotline. A bit Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy-ish (the original TV series more than the film) but lacks any real depth. Like microwaved porridge, it's pleasant enough, but a bit bland by the time it's finished. Some odd touches - the UK spy chief is supposed to be really macho because he breaks the filters off his cigarettes before smoking them. Why not just buy non-filter cigarettes instead (which were freely available in the 70s)??

A few very blurry or dark 1* vehicles - this is the best:
