dsl ◊ 2024-08-03 21:27	Upgrading from DVD included in Children's Film Foundation/BFi Bumper Box Volume 3 set No new entries, but one reject which I think is A40 Somerset rather than A70 Hereford as sill chrome stops short of front wing As said above, lots of chuff-chuff action filmed at Longmoor Military Railway- a fascinating story I'd never come across before. Here's a glimpse of the first few minutes with both main chuffers shown. Matilda looks like one of the many shunters in the LMR fleet ... and the big yin is Gordon, a 1943 War Department "Austerity" 2-10-0 design and the last steam locomotive owned by the British Army. Now preserved as a non-runner at Severn Valley Railway. There was also a little rail buggy Ronnie Barker Jon Pertwee - he was a proper Dr Who back in the day before they started using numpties; also became Worzel Gummidge
