In this movie there were many other cars, used by main characters, as a light blue and white 1959 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer 4 door hardtop, a silver gery 1960 Imperial, a white Mercedes 190 SL, a black Police 1959 Dodge Coronet 2 door sedan and a light blue and white 1955 Plymouth Belvedere convertible... |

The spanish version (or at least my copy) is 1:47:01 (107min.) and according IMDB this movie is 112min.(1:52:00) so, it could be, the scene of the Belvedere convertible was cut out. Or, perhaps, I forgot this scene because I watched the movie last sunday and I've got the captures this morning. electra, do you remember when the Belvedere was showed? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2010-12-01 17:40:22 |

Goof: Continuity The dramatic scene ends. Lana Turner drives the Windsor and Quinn the Custom Royal Lancer four-door with murdered Richard Basehart on it. They went to the cliff's border. They are going to push the Custom Royal with the Windsor....(dramatic music).... ![]() BUT...(Abracadabra, alakazam) suddenly the four-door changes into a cheaper Coronet Lancer (I think) two-doors Coupe. ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2010-12-01 14:13:01 |

A car has been forgotten: it appears at almost the end of the movie and is owned by Sandra Dee's boyfriend: it is a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere convertible in two-tone light blue and white. Please, put it with the others. Sorry, Vilero I wrote this before reading Your question...!!! -- Last edit: 2010-12-01 18:32:00 |

The '55 Plymouth Belvedere convertible appears, as I already told, at almost the end: Just after the point in which Sandra Dee becomes aware of the plot between Antony Queen and Deborah Kerr, as she hears them after her arriving at home. She is chased by Queen and reachs her bedroom upstairs, where desparately opens the windows calling her buyfriend who is going to drive away riding the sky blue and white '55 Plymouth Belvedere convertible. After that Sandre Dee tries to escape through that windows but is followed by Antony Queen... |

The car going over the cliff is a '58 Dodge; see my note on the listing. Campy period melodrama with delightfully over-the-top acting and a really dumb plot twist at the end. Some great unintentional humor as Lana's non-driver character is taught how to drive a pushbutton-shifted Chrysler by Anthony Quinn ("It practically drives itself!"), and she nearly runs off a cliff when she tries to turn on the windshield wipers and turns off the headlights instead! Lana's best car freakout until her LSD scene in her '68 Imperial in The Big Cube (1969; somebody please do that one!). -- Last edit: 2018-01-06 18:04:17 |
