Taken from Ration Books and Rabbit Pies: Films from the Home Front DVD collection from BFI. 6 minute film (or try here) set in Bampton village in Devon - not the other Bampton in Oxfordshire which was setting for Downton Abbey - to encourage folk to be careful and inventive with food by having a Village Food Week where they do lots of jolly exciting things together and make delicious treats such as Two background cars at 03-12 - first one might be Austin with DOH or DOM plate (both Birmingham, late 1937) and another behind This is the final entry with anything interesting for us from that DVD. |
