This is a South Korean movie, so with the Korean language too, would the correct main title be "Keuliseumaseu Kaeleol" instead? I know IMDb list their main title with the English one, but here, we're not following them to prevent many dumb users who misleading this as a North American movie when reading that main title. South Korean movie -> Wrong title for the main page, not English because it was placed as secondary instead, main page title should be the localized native title by that country, which is "Keuliseumaseu Kaeleol". -- Last edit: 2023-07-31 09:30:04 |

But "Keuliseumaseu Kaeleol" means nothing, it is just the romanization of 크리스마스 캐럴 which is "Christmas Carol" written in Hangul. I know we often use the romanized title for Korean movies that use an English title, but it does not make much sense to me. (and by the way I wonder why "Kaeleol" rather than "Kaereol", since ㄹ at the beginning of a syllable is rather "r" than "l" from what I thought  as the letter itself is named rieul/리을) -- Last edit: 2023-01-08 14:10:19 |

Honestly, the way I see it as a Japanese speaker, if the words used in the title are loanwords from the Western world like this Korean movie, or any title that's in katakana, I'd be totally fine to have the title use the English spelling rather than the romajified version, which is honestly clunkier to me. |

I don't think @rjluna2 can help us out to get the right translation. I guess as long you're right, we'll be holding on the English title for now until we got the translation right. |
