1966 BBC documentary about a boy on Harris in the Western Isles, recently resurfaced on iPlayer here, but only available for another couple of weeks. However in 2019 BBC Alba dug it out of the archive with a new intro (2 mins 30 secs) and then a long finale about his life 54 years later, as seen on youtube but a bit grainier.

I've only captured things from the 1966 version and listed those original timings. Only 2 entries.

Rejects:
- distant Beetle (very exotic for the time and place!), Victor FB (might be a crew car as teeny glimpses elsewhere)

- a digger and roadbuilding. They got the first real tourism ferry in 1965 (below) so needed to open up the island for visitor travel, so blew up lots of rock

- the ferry MV Hebrides, the 2nd of 3 boats with that name. Started service for Caledonian Macbrayne in 1964, retired in 1985. I went over on it in 1981, which was an adventure - none of this new-fangled roll-on, roll-off stuff - everything craned on and off. Had an interesting life afterwards - sold off to run between Torquay and the Channel Islands as the Devonian, and then in early 90s as Illyria sailed between Italy and Albania, initially between Brindisi, Valona and Durrës, apparently still with the Calmac lion on her funnel. Later became the first MacBrayne-connected boat to cross the Atlantic, and in 1998 was sailing out of Kingstown in St Vincent & the Grenadines. Then back to Greece, and a serious fire, sold to Huzur Gemi Sokum Ltd., Turkey, arrived in Aliağa under tow on 31 July 2003 and scrapped.
