1960-62 bumpers without handlebars, Deluxe. Austin or Morris to be decided by US election result - if Clinton = Austin, Trump = Morris. |

It's a shitty choice between 2 bad candidates, but I hope Austin wins. |

I'm disappointed they both can't lose. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4v7XXSt9XRM ? ![]() ( yeah i know , not fully accurate but at least there is a Clinton in it.. ) There is another clip that reflects what i think of politics but i can't find an english version of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-E8TcNC76s where Averell Dalton promises to free Daisy Town from all the Daltons ( forgetting that he is one himself ) if he gets elected.. -- Last edit: 2016-11-09 03:37:50 |

Another lesson from Brexit is that immigrants don't necessarily vote for more immigration and open borders. As you can see in Florida, leaning Trump even with the exploding Hispanic population. -- Last edit: 2016-11-09 03:47:31 |

Speaking of learning lessons from Brexit (or not), it seems the markets have once again jumped the gun and the futures markets are shaky because it might be close. -- Last edit: 2016-11-09 03:57:21 |

Well the demographic change is significant. But the main effect in this election is the "giant sucking sound" Mr Perot talked about in 1992, of jobs leaving the country thanks to NAFTA. |

Are you suggesting that D Trump is the Lord Nuffield of the current age? There are similarities, both were/are mega rich, both were/are megalomaniacs, maybe Trump will buy GM! |

Irrelevant for Ellesmere Port. That will be closed down for other reasons. |
◊ 2016-11-09 12:41 |
I have no liking for Ellesmere Port, it was an analogy between Nuffield and Trump. I don't suppose Trump has ever heard of Ellesmere Port anyway. -- Last edit: 2016-11-09 12:42:41 |

Tried to find a pithy Morris advertising slogan to sum up this series of comments and failed. But I did find![]() proudly boasting that the mighty 1957 Minor could do 0-60 in 28 seconds. |

I don't think so, the voters didn't make the choice the big money wanted. The media and newspapers also have a clear editorial bias. (As they do in Europe) Still didn't influence the outcome. |

I can't escape this damn election, can I? Jesus, the world isn't going to end because a guy that isn't out to make people feel special is president. All it is are just people fear mongering because it kills them we can't have another Obama, a man who would have been more respectable IMO if he didn't try to make everybody like him instead of doing what he had to do (which had the effect of making him a complete hypocrite.) Trust me, rjluna2. This isn't a crisis like everybody is endlessly bitching about. Not to mention you have nothing to be afraid of. It's just a bunch of paranoid idiots that have repeated something they were told so much that they've been convinced that theres nothing to live for anymore. I'm black, bisexual (or pansexual, blah blah I don't exist jokes out of the way) and whatever other demographic is claiming impending genocide and I have a lot more to fear and get depressed over from the same people claiming that the world is ending. Chin up, lad, the sun comes up tomorrow. |

I'm not really worried about Trump, no matter how bad he could turn out to be. For one thing, I lived in a country for 15 years ruled under a dictatorship. -- Last edit: 2016-11-10 15:01:54 |

Of course nearly everyone here is shocked, but despite the discussable question, if HC would be an ideal choice, I think about the German saying, literally translated "Nothing will be eaten that hot, as it was cooked" Quite expectable, that the old establishment mills will also crush DT to tiny bits. In Germany we hope, that someday our government will stop the eternal worminess to everyone abroad and will say clearly "No way. No discussion. Piss off." - to whom it concern. Not only to the POTUS, there are more than enough others worth that annoncement. |
◊ 2016-11-10 18:49 |
So you'll be leaving the EU as inevitable first step towards this new assertive non-worminess future?? Another imcdb exclusive news scoop - Germany wants Dexit. And then newly liberated Germany and newly Liberated Britain can make friendly arrangements about tariff-free Mercs and BMWs. And jfs can start buying them again. Problem solved. Truly ingo - you are a genius [dead external link to a smiley] |

No, I want to keep the EU-benefits as they are now. The €, the free travelling, the free shipping of goods and so on. It would be an unbearable pain in the ass, if some border-clowns would control my catches from Swedish junkyards, Scottish antique stores, Luxemburgish liquor shops and Polish gas stations. I will never accept those pre-Schengen idocies. Then I will smuggle. I'm a good smuggler, I've even duped the DDR-blokes, the strictest border regime at all. The skills are not forgotten. -- Last edit: 2016-11-10 19:12:43 |

don't care about EU or not I would like that they implement the Qatar and Alaska model, every citizen gets a paycheck every month just for being citizen and working you leave to the imigrants then you can truly enjoy life and be really FREE and stipulate that bosses who overwork and exploit their employs get to face a firing squad -- Last edit: 2016-11-10 19:20:27 |
◊ 2016-11-10 19:25 |
DSl whether you are in EU or outside of it it makes NO difference , the average citizen is still an ECONOMIC SLAVE !!! you are forced to work and guess what you have to pay taxes for working !!!! if you think about it it's complete insanity they can do so much automation today that almost nobody really has to work anymore!! but this "elite" doesn't want this infernal system to be abolished cos they would lose all control and privileges -- Last edit: 2016-11-10 19:27:17 |

I could care less about Trump being president too. I for one didn't like Hillary and wasn't a fan of Trump (I liked Marco Rubio). But now it's like a "whatever" moment. I was already called "white supremacist" the day after the election which I responded "how do you know if I voted or not". The thing at the moment that annoys me the most is the riots, which the perpetrators are calling a peaceful protest. Overall, it's just stupid behavior and I am glad the election is over. -- Last edit: 2016-11-17 03:34:31 |

Not to mention that you're under 18 which means you weren't able to vote at all. |
