9-3 of 1st gen I guess, but it would be hatchback rather than sedan, no? |

Yes for the 9-3 and yes for the hatchback. |

From this angle it's extremely hard to see if it's a 9-3 or 9-5 |

He is right, it is a 9-5: the 9-3 hood is not as wide as the front. Hard to explain, pics will show it better: 9-5: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2c/Saab_9-5.jpg 9-3: http://www.dragtimes.com/images/1095900049FrontShotSmall.JPG (except if they changed that during the production of the 9-3 1st gen, which I doubt) -- Last edit: 2008-01-18 20:57:52 |

Real plate. "4K" suggests '99 or 2000 model year. |

Just out of curiousity jettalover, How did you get so good with California plates? -- Last edit: 2008-01-19 05:46:45 |

I'm a lifelong Californian and most of my jobs have involved driving, which gives me lots of time to check out plates. Also fake plates in movies, tv, etc. annoy me and are usually easy to spot. |

Yes, I've been good with them too (like you ![]() |
