You give me more credit than I am due, but I'll give it a listing and my reason. First off, we cannot see whether or not this is a hardtop or a coupe since we have a near head-on view. I can see no large, round, silver medallion at the lower grille center (a 1958 Silver and Golden Hawk feature) so will say it's a '57. Now, with the year established, there is another way to distinguish a Silver from a Golden Hawk besides the body style, and that is by the 2-tone pattern. The 1957 Silver Hawk had the contrast tone on the lower body sides and the fin sides. The Golden Hawk had the contrast tone on the fin sides, only. While the photo is blurry, it looks to have only the fin contrast paint. As such, will list as "1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk", subject to the confirmation that can only come from a better photo. |
